11/21/2011: American Diabetes Awareness Month

November is American Diabetes Awareness Month. Many of us don’t consider diabetes to be a serious disease. But did you know that diabetes kills more Americans each year than breast cancer and AIDS combined? There are about 26 million Americans with diabetes and another 79 million are high risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
