Nutritionist/Dietitian

nutritionist

The primary role of the IHTC nutritionist is to provide nutritional care for patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. She does this by assessing nutritional needs, making recommendations and providing counseling. The dietician evaluates patients during comprehensive and outreach clinics and on an as-needed basis in HIV, sickle cell and coagulation clinics. As well, the nutritionist provides information on herbal remedies and drug interactions.
