Phone Nurse

During center business hours, two phone nurses are on duty daily as an extension of the IHTC clinic. One handles pediatric patients, the other adults. These nurses answer patient questions concerning immediate healthcare problems and / or prescription refills. They may also refer a patient for further evaluation and care to the IHTC clinic, an emergency room or admission to the hospital.
