About The Center

The IHTC is a 501(c)(3) (nonprofit) multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment facility serving the people of Indiana who have bleeding disorders or thrombotic disease (known collectively as disorders of coagulation). The IHTC is Indiana's only federally recognized comprehensive hemophilia center, and is noted as one of the largest centers in the country in terms of patients and medical staff. The center aids local medical providers in the care of individuals of all ages with blood disorders and their families. The program is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services - Maternal and Child Health Bureau, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Indiana State Department of Health. The center is also supported by income received from patient care and by a federally sanctioned pharmacy program.
