Results of 2010 Patient Satisfaction Survey

A third party surveyed 320 patients on the level of services and quality of care provided by IHTC. For the third time, we received an outstanding rating from our patients: 92% of surveyed patients rated their overall experience and relationship with IHTC as excellent or very good. Over 98% of patients strongly agreed that IHTC cares about patients as individuals and is a professional, ethical organization that is focused on the needs of patients.

IHTC has had three consecutive patient satisfaction surveys with outstanding results, but we are always trying to further improve our services and the satisfaction of our patients. One area we’ve seen tremendous growth in is the number of calls we receive every day that require nursing or clinical involvement. We are looking into how we can best handle the calls in a timely and efficient manner to meet our patients’ needs. Although the survey results indicated that we were doing better than most healthcare practices in this area, we strive for excellence and think improvements can be made.

In addition to providing feedback on our general programs and services, the patient satisfaction survey helps us to collect feedback about new initiatives at the center. We recently asked patients about their interest in social media outlets. Nearly half of patients surveyed indicated they would be likely to use an IHTC Facebook page for educational material and event notification. Based in part on these responses, IHTC rolled out its inaugural Facebook page in March 2011.
