IHTC encourages patients, families to consider COVID-19 vaccine

12/18/2020

News of COVID-19 vaccines being authorized for Emergency Use continues to capture the nation and world, and the country’s limited supply is now making its way to Indiana’s healthcare workers and vulnerable groups. IHTC providers have been among those to receive some of the first doses available in the state.

As supply increases and access to the COVID-19 vaccine becomes more widely available, IHTC strongly encourages you and your families to consider receiving the vaccine. We understand any uncertainty you might feel in hearing of these scientific feats and their record-time development and distribution, but the vaccine has been proven safe and is the next necessary step toward ending the pandemic.

If you have any health concerns as you consider the COVID-19 vaccine, please discuss these with your primary care physician or primary hematologist.

We’re witnessing medical breakthroughs never seen in our lifetime, and we’re right here alongside you as history unfolds.
