IHTC now handling entire patient billing cycle
We are pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2021, IHTC’s internal billing experts now handle the entire patient billing cycle from claim generation to collections. This means that all services, both clinical and financial, will be handled directly by IHTC staff. We believe this change will provide our patients with better service and a quicker, more thorough resolution to your billing questions.
What does this change mean for me as a patient/caregiver with an outstanding bill?
If you have an outstanding balance for a date of service on or before November 30, 2020, you will pay by calling CIPROMS or by visiting the InstaMed link provided on your printed statement. CIPROMS will also address your questions and disputes for these service dates.
If you have an outstanding balance for a date of service on or after December 1, 2020, you will pay by calling the IHTC or by visiting the new InstaMed link provided on your statement. IHTC will also address your questions and disputes for these service dates.
What changes will I notice to the billing process after January 1, 2021?
IHTC now bills for its own services and offers a direct line to an IHTC staff member for billing resolution, making it easier and more convenient to resolve billing matters. Also, when you make a payment on the InstaMed Portal, that payment will automatically import and post directly to your account within our Practice Management System. Payments made at the front office for any date on or after December 1, 2020 will post in real time to your account.
Your patient statements for dates of service December 1, 2020 and after will come from the IHTC rather than CIPROMS.
What do I do if I receive two bills for the same service?
As we transition the billing process back to IHTC, you might receive double statements—one from CIPROMS stating you have a balance due, as well as one from IHTC. The contact information for CIPROMS will look like this:
